2016 Houston: Gateway to the Americas 

A two-and a half days Conference and Expo was structured to have breakfasts, plenary sessions, sectorial sessions, business lunches and receptions for networking at the Expo site.
The Conference & Expo had a strong presence for the business, government, educational and real estate community of Houston represented by government and business leaders, and a strong presence for key regions of the Americas that included Mexico, Central America and Panama, and South America​A two-and a half days Conference and Expo was structured to have breakfasts, plenary sessions, sectorial sessions, business lunches, receptions for networking at the Expo site, and a formal dinner. At the end of the third day a field trip to Port Freeport was also organized.
The Conference & Expo had a strong presence for the business, government, educational and healthcare community of Houston represented by government and business leaders, and a strong presence for key regions of the Americas that included Mexico, Central America and Panama, and South America.

CTCC First Recognition and Charity Gala

Thank you to everyone who joined us on September 21, 2016 to our first Recognition and Charity Gala. The Colombia Texas Chamber of Commerce prepared a night filled with outstanding auction items, exquisite dining, and entertainment. We honored prominent leaders: Andrés Orozco-Estrada, Music Director of the Houston Symphony, Annise Parker,  Former City of Houston Mayor and Johnny Minervini, President of 7 Seas Energy as well as contributed to benefit three foundations: Houston Symphony Society Fellowship , Fundación Daniel Rojas Mora and Institución Educativa Islas Del Rosario.

Luncheon with Colombian Ambassador to the United States Juan Carlos Pinzón.

​The Colombia Texas Chamber of Commerce participated  to a luncheon in honor of his excellency Juan Carlos Pinzón, Ambassador of Colombia to the United States.  The event took place at ​Rosewood Mansion on Turtle Creek in Dallas, Texas on May 5th, 2016.

III Deepwater and Unconventional E&P in Colombia Forum

The Colombia Texas Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Commercial Service hosted the third Deepwater and Unconventional Forum where international Oil and Gas experts and government officials discussed "Why you should be looking at Colombia for both deepwater and unconventional business opportunities". Some of the topics included: Colombia’s Caribbean Energy Hub, Update on Colombia Energy Outlook​​, Opportunities and Challenges in Offshore and Unconventional​, Update on Regulations, and Tax Incentives​, Offshore Free Trade Zone​, Offshore Colombia Supply Chain Update​ and Colombia Upstream Outlook​.

First CTCC Golf Tournament

​CTCC hosted the first Golf Tournament on February 26, 2016. Companies such as: Wood Group Mustang, ABS Group, Intermarine, ICP where a few of the participants.
ABS Group ​won First Place In Foursome Play and Second place went to Wood Group Mustang. Congratulations to our winners!.
Nobody left empty handed, Intermarine donated a pair of tickets to the Houston Rockets and Paramount Transportation Systems donated a total of (4) pairs of tickets to the Houston Astros and Dynamo!

Meet Colombian Swimmer Isabella Arcila

The Colombia Texas Chamber hosted a delicious Colombian breakfast sponsored by Mi Pueblito Restaurant in honor of Colombian swimmer Isabella Arcila.

Isabella Arcila was born in Colombia, but has spent the last four years in Dallas, training at Southern Methodist University, as a part of their Swimming and Diving program. After four years, Isabella is ready to take her swimming career to the next level, after having dedicated sixteen years prior to that, doing the same thing back in Colombia. Now, a little under a year away from the biggest sporting competition the world has seen, Isabella gets the chance to be a part of that, but in order for her to have a well structured preparation process that would allow her Olympic Dream to come true, she is reaching our for your support in ways that makes you a part of a lifelong aspiration that she could only repay with having a successful performance at Rio 2016 !

Ecopetrol - Third International Suppliers Meeting

Ecopetrol S.A and The Colombia Texas Chamber of Commerce hosted the Third Annual International Suppliers Meeting. There where over 200 attendees throughout the day. The event started with presentations by Claudia Rojas, Executive Director, CTCC followed by  Jose Vicente Velasco, Procurement Manager-Ecopetrol Americas, followed by Elena Bustamante, Trade Representative-ProColombia and Leonel Vera, Category Manager-Ecopetrol. Houston Trade & Investment Mission to Colombia

​The Greater Houston Partnership, the City of Houston,  U.S.-Panama Business Council and The Colombia Texas Chamber of Commerce put together a business delegation, led by Mayor Annise D. Parker, in a Trade and Investment Mission to Panama and Colombia, from November 16-22, 2014.
The objective was to promote the city of Houston as a gateway to the Americas and strengthen relationships between Houston and the two countries. The mission is being developed in collaboration with the U.S.-Panama Business Council, Colombia-Texas Chamber of Commerce and Proexport Colombia.

​Meet & Greet 2014 Indy Lights Champion Gabby Chaves

Houston, TX - October 30th, 2014

CTCC hosted a lunch sponsored by Mi Pueblito Restaurant in honor of Indy Lights Champion Gabby Chaves. Attendees had the opportunity to meet and learn from this young racecar driver.

Gabriel "Gabby" Chaves was born July 7, 1993 into a family of talented drivers. His mother raced cars in her native Colombia while his father explored the skies as an airline pilot. His grandfather was a race car driver in the 1960’s while his uncle raced for eight years in Colombia and England.

At age nineteen Gabriel "Gabby" Chaves has achieved more goals than one would expect in a lifetime. Known as one of the youngest drivers in the sport of racing, Chaves' records speaks for itself with seven titles in Karting in a short three years at the beginning of the racing career. Moreover, this year Gabby won the 2014 Indy light championship.

Breakfast with the Honorable Ambassador Luis Carlos Villegas - Ambassador of Colombia to the U.S

Houston, TX – July 24th, 2014

The Colombia Texas Chamber of Commerce (CTCC) held a Breakfast with the Hon. Ambassador of Colombia to the United States, Luis Carlos Villegas, which was held at the CTCC conference center, for the members of our chamber, local entrepreneurs and diplomatic officials.
 
During this event, attendants received an extraordinary presentation in charge of Hon. Ambassador Luis Carlos Villegas, who expose the giant and new opportunities in Colombia and further explain the benefits of investing in Colombia, as well as a briefly presentation of the country and its economic growth in the last years.
 
Breakfast with the Ambassador, was a great opportunities for the attendees to learn what Colombia has to offer and the investment opportunities by the hands of the Ambassador who throughout his career, has been a leader in both the public and private sectors, including serving most recently as President of the National Business Association of Colombia (ANDI).
 
This event also provided the attendants an effective interaction with the Hon. Ambassador, which led to an interest line of questions and answers.
